As one of the world’s largest medical technology companies, B Braun specializes in solutions related to infusion therapy, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, anaesthesia, extracorporeal blood treatment, spine surgery, diabetes care, clinical nutrition, wound management, infection prevention and surgical technologies.
Brief
Australian Security was requested by B Braun to supply and install a Commercial Intercom System for a medical facility within Victoria. The installation of an Intercom System is needed to both control visitors to the site, in addition to internal communications among employees throughout the premises.
Proposal
Following the briefing, our integration specialists recommended an Intercom System. Considering the size of the premises and customer briefing/requirements, Australian Security proposed & subsequently installed the following Intercom System Equipment for B Braun Avitum:
- AiPhone GT Series Intercom Kit including:
- 3 x Outdoor Stations with keypads;
- 4 x Indoor stations with 7″ Touchscreens;
- Power Supplies.
- Bus Modules;

Outcome
The objective of the new security system was to control access to specific areas of the premises and provide communications between various rooms. Post-installation, the team at B Braun are satisfied with the functionality of the system and reported positive developments in line with the original briefing as well as stated work requirements.
