Client Profile:

The client, a battery design and manufacturing company located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, sought to implement electronic security measures for their new facilities.  The facilities included warehouse storage and internal offices, requiring a combination of internal and external electronic security options.

 

Challenges:

Diverse Security Needs: The energy storage company required a multi-faceted security solution encompassing CCTV surveillance, intrusion alarm and access control system functionality to provide full security coverage for their new facility.

Comprehensive Coverage: From a security coverage perspective, the client required both external and internal surveillance coverage to monitor critical areas of their facilities, including warehouse, offices and factory exterior including staff carpark.

Integration: Requested integration of CCTV, intrusion alarm and access control systems were requested to allow centralized management and monitoring of all security components through easy to use platforms.

Objectives:

CCTV Surveillance: Deploy a diverse range of CCTV cameras to provide comprehensive external and internal surveillance coverage through maximizing camera positioning across the energy storage company’s facilities.

Intrusion Alarm System: Integrate an intrusion alarm system with access control readers to enhance perimeter security, restrict and detect unauthorized access without utilizing multiple separate systems.

Access Control: Implement access control readers at key entry points to control and monitor access to specific areas within the company facilities.

Real-time Notifications: Enable management to receive reliable live notifications of potential security breaches via a mobile phone app for immediate response and intervention.

 

Solution:

Australian Security delivered a tailored electronic security solution to meet the client’s requirements:

CCTV Surveillance: A diverse range of CCTV cameras, including fixed turret, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom), bullet and dome cameras, were strategically installed to provide comprehensive coverage of the external and internal areas of the facility. High-resolution cameras with advanced analytics capabilities were deployed to ensure clear imaging, intrusion artificial intelligence trigger notifications and effective monitoring.

Intrusion Alarm System: An intrusion alarm system was integrated with access control readers at entry points to enhance perimeter and entrance security. Motion sensors and door/window reed switches were installed to detect unauthorized access attempts or intrusions. The system was configured to trigger real-time alerts in case of security breaches, allowing for immediate response and intervention by both management and external security monitoring centre.

Access Control: Access control readers were installed at key entry points to control and monitor access to restricted areas within the facilities. Authorized personnel were issued access FOBs and keypad code credentials to gain entry, while access to sensitive areas was restricted to authorized personnel only.

Real-time Notifications: The integrated security system allowed management to receive live notifications of potential security breaches via a mobile phone app on each of their phones and tablets. This enabled swift response and intervention in case of security incidents, enhancing overall security measures.
