Client Profile:
The client, a large precision engineering manufacturing company located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne, required robust security measures to monitor activity across various manufacturing zones, external perimeters as well as ensure the safety and security of their personnel and assets. With multiple interconnected factories across 26,000 sq/m of facilities, a robust CCTV surveillance system applicable to industrial manufacturing was required.
Challenges:
Complex Facility Layout: The facility comprised multiple interconnected factories and manufacturing zones, presenting challenges in terms of coverage and connectivity for the CCTV surveillance system.
Comprehensive Coverage: The client required a comprehensive surveillance solution covering both perimeter areas and internal manufacturing zones to monitor activity, ensure OH&S and deter unauthorized access or security breaches.
Camera Selection: Due to the diverse nature of the facility, a combination of different camera types would be required, including 180-degree and dual-head cameras to maximize optimal coverage and visibility.
Factory Roof Height: Elevating Work Platform required due to the size and height of the factory – adding requirements for scissor lift usage without disrupting ongoing manufacturing production.
Network Integration: The CCTV Surveillance System needed to be integrated with the company’s existing network infrastructure to facilitate remote monitoring, ensure cybersecurity protocols and compliance with management requirements.
